Shoe Lust

These Pierre Hardy shoes for Gap are divine and at £79.95 not too bad on the pocket.  Now where can I get those nude beauties in a 35?

Are you watching the wedding?  Kate's dress is stunning and it is all making me feel very British today, but my homemade flag has broke now.  Time for more tea I think.

Have a wonderful Friday friends, I am just waiting for the kiss....ax

Royal Tea Party

I have so far not seen any Royal Wedding coverage but I will be watching tomorrow and I am busy making my Union Jack flags to wave at the tele.  I don't think I will have time for bunting as well but I do love bunting so very much.

Poppy and I will put on our party frocks and have a little tea party at home. Although I don't think I will let her make the tea!

Things like this always bring out the best in the British and I am welling up looking at all the people camped out early for a good view of the procession.  I wish them much love and happiness together in the very demanding job of being a Royal.

Will you be watching, do you even care or will you be wishing well with me?  Any fun street parties planned? I have a friend who is now living in Norway and they are all dressing up as if for a wedding and having a big party, now I like the sound on that!

Happy Thursday friends, the weekend has come early.  ax

Indecisions

I can not make a decision at the moment to save my life and by not making any decisions I am making a choice to do nothing.  It is driving me mad and I have plenty to do.  I need to reorganise the wardrobe and change the winter clothes for the summer, at the moment all the clothes are all over the place, and as for what to wear each day...The pjs' are winning hands down.

This wardrobe room is heaven but I need to make it happen and on a much smaller scale although I do have a spare room.....Not sure what my sister would think when she came to stay and had to sleep in my wardrobe though.

I am also in the middle of making this dress but I can't decide how to finish it.  Plus I made the belt detail and am not sure how to attach it.  I was think of leaving small holes in the seam to allow the belt to be worn just at the front so the back would flow but I can't make up my mind.

And...

As for blog post I have about five half finished ideas that I could not make my mind up on...See it is getting bad!  I think I need my mummy to come over and sort me out on the right path again. (She has had to do this before hehe).  See a girl always need her mum, even when she is a proper grown up.  Sadly this will not be happening for a few months so I need to get on with it....

...What do you do when faced with indecision or when you loose your way and can't seem to get ahead?   Although all the mums' I know do not have the time for such things, I do have the luxury of time.

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter break with a little spring sunshine to warm your skin.  Now what shall I have for lunch?.....

Easter in Mallorca

Easter in Mallorca is taken very seriously and is a much bigger holiday than Christmas.  It all starts on Palm Sunday (the Sunday before Easter Sunday) with parades all week, drums, trumpets, chains being dragged through the street, the works and most of these parades do not finish until past midnight, hehe only in Mallorca huh.

Each brotherhood or church group has its own colours and includes the whole family.  This is the Candle parade which is held on Maundy Thursday.

The re-enactment including chains, leading the procession.

It is a wonderful thing to watch but those hoods freak me out big time. Hehe.  Don't worry plenty of chocolate eggs will be eaten on Monday and all is closed from Thursday until Tuesday.  Easter done in Mallorcan style.

Have fun and try not to eat too many chocolate eggs hehe.  ax

All images from the lovely Monica Jensen, thanks honey.

Happy Easter

A sailor bunny ♥

Easter eggs for new beginnings.

Hehe and the most unamused cat I have ever seen.

Have a wonderful Easter weekend

What I Wore Wednesday Week 16

Ok so I am back for another week and linking up with The Pleated Poppy and No Model Lady.  Pop over and join in the fun.  I am back taking the photos on timer, they are better than the mirror shots but my face is not playing nice this week.  Oh well the good with the bad is life....

The weather is still playing nice so the white linen pants are out for a stroll round the park with the dog.

Polo Shirt - H&M
Linen Pants - Brought in France
Belt - American Eagel
Gold Gladiator Sandals - Woolworths in South Africa

I must be a grown up now as I can get two days wear from white pants...Not sure about this look but it was fine for a quick supermarket shop.

White T-Shirt - Zara
White Pants - As above
Leopard Cardi - Sfera
Gold Glads - Woolworths

I tried this on in Zara but didn't buy as it may be too warm for the summer and I don't look so great in high necks, but it is a great version of Dolce & Gabbanas white lacy looks.  If it still in the shop come next month I may buy it...

This is a new dress which will be easy and breezy come summer (without a belt) but still smart enough for town.  Please take note of colour...yes I am giving it a whirl.

Dress - Sfera
Necklace - Sfera
Patent Nude Glads - Brought in France

So how are you all finding dressing for warmer weather, love it, hate it, not sure what styles to choose this year?  What about colour are you going to give it a whirl?  Lets share the tips ladies and then we can all look cool and chic this summer.

Happy Wednesday and I am over 100 posts, so I am a little bit proud of myself...Thank you for following.  ax

Pajama Style

This was my first post and 98 posts later it is still holding true.  I take part in "WIWW" in order to get dressed but I love my pj's, the problem is the flannel, miss matched mess I end up looking.  It does not need to be this way though, woman have worn pj's for many years and not just in bed.  We have "Beach Pajamas" and "Hostess Pajamas" where woman added some great bangles and lipstick and were good to go.  So I have decided that as I will never give up my pajama habit, I might as well glam those babies up...

Two examples of some very stylish ladies wearing their pj's in public and very chic they look too.

A 1930's pattern for Kichenette Pajamas and some linen lovelies from Toast.

Emerson of Emersonmade looking amazing (and inspirational) in India recently.

This amazing dress from Rick Owens.

And this beautiful dream from Etro... I can see me lounging around in these very easily.

Let us not forget the classic djellaba which was made for such things and this one is from Toast.

Now in my dreams it would be the silk Etro dress and silk or fine cotton pajama sets, but in the real world I am dragging the sewing machine out again, hunting out some classic patterns and hopefully finding some cheap but soft cotton to make them all up in.  Then I will add a slash of bright lipstick, some bangles that gangle and have you all round for cocktails on the terrace.  What do you think ladies, can I get away with this if done with a smile?  Plus any sewing or pattern tips for me to fulfil my 1930's pajama dreams?

What era do you dream in, or is it a movie that haunts your clothes dreams?  Come on share, you never know they may come true.

Happy lounging in style today ladies.  ax

Swimsuit Edition.

With the sun shining my thoughts turn to swimsuits, never the most favourite shopping trip of mine, I was happy to see these gorgeous suits from Anthropologie.  Even if the suits are not your style the feel of this photo shoot so amazing, I can smell the sea and taste a fruit cocktail.......

I am thinking of maybe a one piece this year as I have problems with bikini tops and my topless days are over  (Thank you gravity!), but I can't get my head around having a white tummy.  As we all know a tan makes you look/feel slimmer and I really do not want to highlight areas with tan lines...hehe.  What do you think, any good swimsuit shops and tips for me?

May all your swimsuit wishes come true this year my friends, have a lovely day.  ax

What I Wore Wednesday Week 15

I am back for another week and linking up with The Pleated Poppy and all the lovely girls over there, boy the numbers grow every week it must be that spring feeling.  Things have warmed up here so clothes are fun again until it get to hot to wear them, but I am not complaining.

This was our picnic on the beach for our second wedding anniversary, a bit breezy but warm and sunny.  We had a flask of tea, sandwiches and strawberries with cream, heavenly.

Shirt - H&M
Jeans - Mini Boden
Dolly Shoes - Primark
Straw Bag - Local Market

They have yet to clean the beach of all the old seaweed but it is still wonderful none the less.

The weekend mooch around town with the dog.

Dress - Naf Naf
Patient Sandals - France somewhere (sorry really old)
Bag - Loewe

The Captain has flown off to Italy so I am using the camera timer...My face was no good, so I am headless, I am getting better though.  Off for a quick trip for supplies.

Shirt - H&M
Jeans - Mini Boden
Sandals - My Wedding shoes bought in France

This is my version of yesterdays post and I love it.  If you want to make it too you can find the instructions here at Style Scrapbook.  I made it in under an hour and now no shirt is safe in our house, I may add a skirt bottom to all of them.

Shirt - Zara
Skirt Fabric - Ikea (yes it is upholstery fabric I had left over from some cushions)
Sandals - Zara
Necklace - Market in Portugal

These sandals are old but have not been worn much, as the Captain always makes fun of my "golf shoes", but he is away, so they are having their time in the sun...hehe.

I think I may have been spending too much time on my laptop as this is Poppy's new idea for cuddle time.

I have also finished another skirt but I need to finish the top that goes with it, so photos next week.  I also have a couple of dress plans in the works, so watch this space.

Happy Wednesday my friends, it is nearly the weekend.  ax

I am also linking up with some new faces over at Momma Go Round and No Model Lady come visit with me.
